Every Home Has A Soul, Installation view, PRISM Exhibit, 2025
Every Home Has a Soul, is an installation exploring the afterlife and essence of our homes—not just as physical structures, but as the spaces that shape our lives, hold our memories, and exist beyond their material form. This work serves as both a tribute and a recognition of the objects, moments, and time spent in our living spaces.

These are three from the ongoing "Year by Year" series.
Each fiber sculpture is a representation of a year of life.
The fibrous materials are suspended on metal hooks and pulleys, exploring the contrast between the delicate nature of the fiber forms and the hard metal material.
The “Going Places Dress” is a unique wearable art piece constructed entirely from patches that have been saved, gifted, found, or deemed defective. Crafted from my collection, which spans from the 1960s to the present day, this dress serves as a wearable scrapbook. It not only pays tribute to the places visited and memories made but also captures the moments and emotions tied to those experiences.
This paint and thread series also incorporates paper dresses from the 1960's

Installation view, Objects of Memory, Bentley Gallery, 2018
In her large-scale sculptural installations, as objects are suspended in open air and treated with identical paint, they become a single mass representing the mind. Passing by the suspended mass allows for only brief glimpses of specific items, just as the human mind passes by its memories. Yaghmourian hopes that such visual interpretations of memory – and memory management – can lead viewers to joy and solace in their recollections.
LABELS
Labeling is something that goes on everyday in our society. People are not the labels we assign to them. Labeling is a form of separating people and class. It can have negative or positive affects on a persons life. Labeling children as smart, slow, irresponsible, etc., puts ideas into their head, which are not true and studies show they tend to follow the labels or stereotypes they are given. It's a subject which deserves a closer look. Words are powerful tools.
